In Dezember me and a friend of mine went to “Sillschlucht” which is a ravine near Innsbruck. We wanted to take some winter-landscapes. There was just one problem with this plan, still not a single snowflake has touched any surface here. BUT the temperatures in Tyrol have been very low, so everything in Sillschlucht was covered by frost and that has helped us a lot to take winter picures. The stream (called Sill) which shaped the ravine was frozen at some places and some small waterfall feeder streams built big ice sculpures. So the landscape in Sillschlucht in cooperation with the cold temperatures offered many winter themed scenes to photograph fortunately.
